eer Bridgers of Orange County. For mental health consumers making transition to recovery post-hospitalization.Peer Support Group Meetings, Tuesdays, 2:30-3:30pm. Northside Clinic, 412A Caldwell St.  Program of MHA/OC.  942-8083. 

 

Non-crisis Information & Referral Call Center. Consumer-run service provides disability specific information and referrals. Sponsored by Mental Health Association in North Carolina. Available 8:00am-6:00pm Mon-Fri. Phone: 1-800-897-7494.

 

Family-to-Family Education. NAMI program for family members of persons with serious mental illness. Free. 12 weekly classes. Depression/Bipolar Support Group. Meets 1st & 3rd Wed.,  7:00-8:30PM, MHA/OC office, 302 W. Weaver St, Suite F, Carrboro. Phone 942-8083 www.mhaoc.com

 

Schizophrenics Anonymous (SA). Self help/support group based on AA model. Orange County: 1st & 3rd Fri., 7-8PM, MHA/OC office, 302W.Weaver St Carrboro(942-8083 or www.mhaoc.com.) Durham: 1st &3rd Tues. 7:00-8:30PM, Watts St Baptist Church Rm 104.  688-1366 for directions.

 

Family Advocacy Network (FAN). Individual and group support for parents and caregivers of children with emotional, behavioral or mental health challenges. Program of Mental Health Association in Orange County. Call Cindy Wilkins at 942-8083.

 

NAMI Orange Sharing Group meets the second Saturday 9:30-10:30am, Church of Reconciliation, 110 Elliott Rd. 929-7822.

Recovery, Inc. Structured self help group for persons with nervous/emotional challenges. Meets at Caramore Community, 550 Smith Level Rd, Carrboro.  Call 918-3617 for more information.
